Personal reflective of Newtonian Science Perspective “The Maker Movement” from the article Research Procedures/Methodology for Artists & Designers

Different scientists, philosophers, physicists, and astronomers (Copernicus, Bacon, Galileo, Descartes) agree on the research methods used by science to determine the human behaviour and identify people by their mind and matter. It is called the “Newtonian Science” because Newton was the last of the scientists that gathered the information of all the scientists that had different theories but they all had the same point of view of how the human behaviour is an important study. “Reductionism”, it is based on the breaking down of a situation that human might face especially during the use of mechanical machines and understanding the … Continue reading Personal reflective of Newtonian Science Perspective “The Maker Movement” from the article Research Procedures/Methodology for Artists & Designers

Research proposal: Research Procedures/Methodology for Artists & Designers

As a team, we were supposed to prepare a research proposal for the article “Research Procedures/Methodology for Artists & Designers” by Carole Gray and Julian Malins. In the picture above is the understanding of our view regarding the article and focusing mainly on the Newtonian Science Perspective “The Maker Movement” and what we did was understand the variety of research that is used by designers and artist that allows them to generate an art or a design. First project prototype

It took lots of research to understand the idea of the “Dance Script” by Prof. John Lansdown but after being in touch with different people and meeting with some, things get smoother and we started gathering all the information and finding something that users can explore and experience from the artefact. The image above was our first prototype made to show our idea, however it was fixed as we wanted people to feel free in dancing and understand the idea that the artist used for teaching dancers and sword fighters. The prototype represents 1 to 24 images (examples in the … Continue reading First project prototype

John Lansdown’s Research

Our chosen artefact belongs to Prof. John Lansdown who developed computer programmes that would generate a type of script for dancers and sword fighters.                                                                                                                                             Continue reading John Lansdown’s Research
